The Wisdom of: Dr. Kristin Neff


Dr. Kristin Neff is a leading expert in self-compassion. Her pioneering research has lead to publications, a book, and an ever-growing practice of incorporating self-compassion practices into therapy sessions and daily living.

It's far too common for us to speak to ourselves in harsh and aggressive ways that we would never voice to others - or even accept from others. Dr. Neff has revealed an alternative way for us to speak to ourselves, where we do not tear ourselves down but rather build ourselves up. Her research reveals how this approach can positively contribute to our internal well-being and external accomplishments.

Her book Self-Compassion is an excellent description of her understanding of self-compassion and how to show ourselves more kindness in our daily lives.
