Welcome
to Limestone Therapies. We are looking forward to starting this new chapter in
your life with you. We believe that it is important for you to understand
everything within this document and on your consent form, so you are
well-informed in your decisions and feel comfortable with the therapy process.
If
you have any questions or concerns at this moment or at any point in the
future, please feel free to bring these to your therapist’s attention.
What to Expect in Therapy
- You will be in a safe environment where your thoughts and concerns can be expressed openly without judgment.
- The Therapy sessions are intended to address your areas of concerns and/or improve your overall well-being.
- You will likely be asked to talk about personal information, regarding your past and/or present, that may be difficult to discuss.
- You and your therapist will be discussing a wide range of issues and arrive at solutions together.
- Your therapist may recommend you try certain practices outside of your sessions, if you are interested in doing so.
- Your information will be kept confidential within Limestone Therapies, with noted limitations to this confidentiality (please refer to Therapy consent form provided).
- Any concerns you may have regarding your therapy will be taken seriously by your therapist and will be responded to with care and respect.

- Discussing personal experiences from your past or present may bring up intense emotions or thoughts, which can sometimes be distressing.
- Although the outcome of Therapy is often positive, the level of satisfaction for any individual is not predictable.

- Offers continuity of care if you or your therapist cannot attend the office location
- Allows for sessions to be conducted in a familiar environment
Risks

- Possibility of technological failures
- Technical difficulties with hardware, software, and internet connection may result in service interruption. Your therapist is not responsible for any technical problems and does not guarantee that services will be available or work as expected.
- Human error with technology
- Confidentiality risks that differ from in-person therapy sessions. Examples may include:
- Being in a space where other people may walk in during the sessions
- Threats to cyber security
Appointments and
Fees
Therapy sessions will be 50 minutes in duration, costing $120 (taxes included). The frequency of sessions can be discussed with your therapist depending on your needs. It is your responsibility to schedule your appointments, with a minimum of two hours in advance.

Please note that you are responsible for coming to appointments on time; if you are late, the therapy session will end on time and not run into the next appointment’s scheduled session. In order to reschedule or cancel your appointment free of charge, we require at least 24 hours notice.
Referrals
If your concerns are outside of our professional capabilities, we can assist you by providing you with appropriate referrals. By no means are you obligated to make use of the services we refer you to. They are simply recommendations that we make for the purpose of meeting your needs.
Your therapist cannot prescribe medications or make any kind of formal diagnosis. She is willing to work in collaboration with other health professionals if there is no conflict in services provided.

Please note that the scheduling programs used in Limestone Therapies send automatic appointment reminders. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please speak with your therapist and she will ensure this function is no longer active with your appointments.
